I have had the unique pleasure of being acquainted with the Biblical Womanhood curriculum on three different levels; as a student, a facilitator, and an administrator.
 
I was not new to God or His word when I began this study, but I still found myself learning new things, seeing things from a fresh perspective, and being reminded of things I already knew. I think that is one of the unique things about this curriculum; no matter where you are in your walk with God, it can help you grow and mature in God’s word. I love the honesty and integrity of the curriculum, it most definitely points you to God’s word, keeps you in God’s word, and in case you start to stray or get discouraged, brings you back to God’s word. Regardless of what I was going through in my personal life, I found myself needing to study the curriculum, and search God’s word more and more. It was truly an inspiration and an encouragement in my walk with God.
 
As a facilitator, I had the joy of getting to know a small group of women in a more intimate way than I would have in any other setting. Although it was not my job to “teach” the women, I did feel a sense of responsibility to them in regards to my facilitation of the class. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to watch the ladies in our class grow and mature as the lessons progressed. I can honestly say that one of the most exciting times of being a facilitator was when the ladies turned in their essays for me to read. I almost felt like a “proud mama” watching them grow right before my eyes. Now, although our class has ended, there is a special bond between us that I credit to having been their facilitator for those nine months.
 
As an administrator, I am learning another point of view in regards to the success of the Biblical Womanhood curriculum. I believe that although the curriculum is affecting women on a spiritual level, that doesn’t excuse poor handling on a natural level. Fortunately, I am learning from someone who is extremely aware of the need for both natural and spiritual excellence. I do miss the fellowship that came along with being a student and a facilitator, but I am also satisfied with knowing that even as an administrator, I am still involved with the curriculum, and I can still witness the changes that are taking place in women’s lives.
 
God works through many different avenues to speak to His daughters, and this curriculum is definitely one of those avenues God is using. - Chelle
