The TitusTouch Commissioning Ceremony
The TitusTouch Commissioning is a regal ceremony that celebrates the completion of the Biblical
Womanhood Series and represents the commitment of the one who is being commissioned to teach
the younger women” the same truths they have learned. The structure and format can be created by
any group as they desire; however, we request the following elements be included:
- A presentation of the “Titus Touch Biblical Womanhood” Commissioning Requirements.
- A presentation of each woman, one at a time, to the attending body.
- A presentation to each woman of an alabaster-like vessel which contains rose petals,
representing the fragrance of the Lord Jesus; a bottle of anointing oil, representing the presence of the
Holy Spirit of God; and a “Titus Touch ‘Dancing with Joy’ Silver and Swarovski Crystal Pendant”,
representing the presence of the commissioning commitment.
We also recommend the following three elements be a part of the ceremony that we feel will
enhance the moment for all:
First, invite a guest speaker to deliver a challenging and inspirational address and read the
commissioning requirements, and invite a soloist to perform the song “Alabaster Box” as the
women prepare for presentation to the attendees.
Second, after presenting the alabaster box, have each woman stand in place until
all who are being commissioned have been presented. Then invite her husband (if she is
married), or a designate, to come and place the pendant around her neck signifying the
TitusTouch Commissioning.
Third, the entire group of women being commissioned should be presented to the
attending body as The TitusTouch Commissioned Women of Your Church. Then invite the
attending body to express their congratulations.
The key is to stress the “Commissioning Commitment to Teach”. Each leadership
group is encouraged to facilitate the teaching program immediately after the commissioning
so that the process is not lost in “the cares of this world”. (Mark 4:19) The teaching process
can be in your church, your home, or other setting that allows for study, sharing, and
ministry on a regular basis.
May God richly bless your call to mentoring women in biblical womanhood.
Suggestion: So that the cost is not burdensome, we recommend that the cost of commissioning elements be divided by the number of books (nine) and added to the cost of each book. This way, the elements are paid in full upon completion of the series.
